Louise Griffin

Artist statement

I have always had a passion for art and the process of creation, most of my work is inspired by the natural world. I mainly work in watercolour as I love the immediacy and the versatility of this unique medium. I sometimes use a graphite pencil or pen and wash, dabble with mix media and explore pastel paintings and oils.

I enjoy producing work to commission and have been an Art Tutor since 1999. I find teaching is a continuous cycle of Inspiration, creation and learning between the students and Tutor. I constantly find this relationship stimulating and rewarding, encouraging me to explore new artistic avenues.
